In 2022, a zoning amendment was passed that, though it appeared minor, created major uncertainty about where large-scale commercial projects could be built in Dedham. The change opened the door for massive commercial and life-sciences developments in areas previously zoned for single-family homes.

We’re a group of concerned Dedham residents working to make sure our community has the facts. Our goal is to inform, not alarm, to help our neighbors understand the impacts of decisions and how they matter for the town’s future.

What’s at Stake

Without Controls, Dedham risks further uncertainty about where and how commercial projects can take shape.

We need to establish clear boundaries, protect our neighborhoods, support sensible growth, and restore public trust in how zoning decisions are made.
